ACP-5 Filing for Harrison Owners With City Projects
When the renovation is inside New York City, get the survey and Asbestos Assessment Report that the permit application leans on.
Why Would a Harrison Owner Need an ACP-5?
Harrison has no use for the ACP-5 on its own soil. Asbestos work up here falls under New York State rules, Industrial Code Rule 56. Still, a good number of Harrison residents own a co-op in Manhattan, manage an apartment house in the Bronx or run a contracting outfit with crews below the city line, and down there the ACP-5 matters. Within city limits, asbestos falls under a separate program run by DEP, the city's Department of Environmental Protection. Before the Department of Buildings issues most permits, an investigator certified by DEP surveys the space and signs the Asbestos Assessment Report, known as the ACP-5, confirming the planned work leaves regulated asbestos alone. Should the survey find material the work would disturb, abatement comes first, under its own notification. We take care of the survey, the report and, if it comes to it, any abatement, so your permit application never sits idle for want of one form.
What ACP-5 Work Covers
Everything leading to a filed report, plus the plan if the survey turns something up.
Surveying the space
A DEP-certified investigator inspects every area the project will open.
Lab work when called for
Questionable materials cut and analyzed before anyone signs.
A signed assessment
The ACP-5 prepared and signed by that certified investigator.
Filing alongside the permit
The report lodged so it is ready when the Buildings application moves.
Abatement when asbestos shows up
Removal under a separate notification before the permitted work begins.
Working with your expediter
We keep your architect or expediter in step so the forms match.
How an ACP-5 Moves
Lay out the project
Which borough, how much work, and how far the permit application has gotten.
Survey plus samples
The investigator looks over the space and samples anything doubtful.
Report filed or material abated
Nothing regulated in the way means the ACP-5 gets filed. Otherwise, abatement happens first.
Why Owners Here Use Us for City Filings
