Government and municipal project experience
Asbestos Removal in Harrison, NY, One Crew From Sample to Cleanup
Older Harrison houses like to hide asbestos around boilers and under basement tile, so one crew samples it, files whatever the job calls for, takes it out behind plastic and proves the air is clean before handing the room back.

What one crew carries for you
Public-sector jobs behind us
Government and municipal jobs are part of our record, and on those an inspector signs off each stage.
Lab numbers ahead of a price
Anything suspect gets cut, bagged and analyzed before we put a dollar figure on taking it out.
Plastic up, air pulling inward
Poly walls, taped vents and HEPA units keep fibers in the one room we are working.
Forms filled by the people doing it
State notices and city paperwork come from the same crew that runs the removal.
A phone that never goes dark
Ceiling down at two in the morning? A person picks up, every night of the year.
What Can One Crew Take Off Your Plate?
Most asbestos jobs bog down at a handoff. The tester waits on the lab, the remover waits on the tester, the filing waits on everybody. Ours never leave the same set of hands, and this is what those hands cover.
Asbestos Removal
Steam pipe covering and boiler jackets, basement floor squares with the tar-black adhesive under them, sprayed ceiling texture, cement shingles and duct wrap pulled out damp, double-bagged and trucked to a site licensed to take it.
Emergency Asbestos Removal
A frozen pipe let go, a small fire, a helper with a pry bar. We coach you through shutting that room down over the phone, then roll a crew out to enclose the mess and clean it.
Asbestos Testing
Our certificate-holding inspector snips small pieces of anything questionable and a properly accredited laboratory tells you yes or no, so nobody rips out good material.
ACP-5 Filing
For Harrison people with a renovation down in the five boroughs: the survey plus the signed Asbestos Assessment Report that city building permits usually expect.
DEP Asbestos Stop Work Order Removal
Should DEP freeze a city project over asbestos, we sort the paperwork, abate the material while air samples run and push toward the sign-off that restarts the job.
How Does a Job Run From First Call to Clearance?
Describe it to a supervisor
What the stuff looks like, which room, what work is coming. Got a closing, a permit or an order hanging over it? Say so up front and we plan around that date.
Sample it, then put the plan on paper
Pieces go to the lab, results come back, and you receive a scope in writing listing the materials coming out, the containment we will build and any notices the job needs.
Build the enclosure and strip it
Plastic goes up, HEPA units start pulling air, and certified handlers keep the material wet while it comes down, then it goes into tagged, sealed bags or poly wrap.
Scrub, sample the air, give it back
HEPA vacuums and damp rags go over every surface, an outside firm samples the air, and the room is yours again only once that test passes.
Why Give the Whole Job to One Crew?
Ask a neighbor who redid an old house what slowed them down. It is seldom the removal. It is the dead time between companies. Here is how we cut that out.
Someone picks up at three in the morning
Burst pipes and collapsed ceilings keep their own schedule. A live voice answers whenever you dial, and if material is already loose, a crew heads your way.
You pay to remove positives, nothing else
Guesswork is the expensive route. Each questionable material is confirmed by lab analysis first, so a negative floor or ceiling stays right where it is.
Run as if the strictest inspector were watching
Supervisors keep daily logs, walk the containment before anyone starts and refuse to skip a step because the calendar is tight.
Licensed outfit, paperwork done right the first time
Asbestos work in this state belongs to a licensed abatement firm with certified handlers, and that is who arrives. Notices go in correctly at the start, so nobody gets shut down midway over a missing form.
Asbestos Work in Harrison and the Nearby Sound Shore Towns
Harrison stretches from the downtown by the Metro-North station up through Purchase and over to West Harrison along the Hutchinson River Parkway, with Interstate 287 running across the top. Much of what stands here predates the 1980s: center-hall colonials still on their first boiler room, postwar ranches with nine-inch squares under the basement carpet, split-levels wearing textured ceilings nobody ever scraped. We work all of it, plus the neighbors on every side, from Rye and Port Chester on the water to White Plains and Scarsdale inland.
Old boiler rooms, newer plans
Lots of our calls begin with a furnace swap. Lagging on the pipes and the old jacket come off first, so the new equipment lands in a clean room.
Houses and small buildings alike
A finished-basement project in a West Harrison ranch and a mechanical room over a storefront get the identical enclosure and the identical clearance test.

Questions That Come Up on the First Walkthrough
These usually get asked before the first roll of plastic comes off the truck. Short answer first, the why after.
What does negative air pressure actually do inside a work area?
It makes air leak into the enclosure, never out of it. HEPA units draw air from inside the plastic and push it through filters, so any small gap pulls house air in rather than letting fibers drift out. That is the main reason the rest of your home stays clean while we work.
Can old asbestos floor tile be covered instead of pulled up?
Frequently, yes. Squares that are whole and firmly stuck down can usually stay put under new flooring, which leaves them undisturbed. They have to come up when they are cracked or lifting, or when the plan means sanding, grinding or tearing out the subfloor beneath. One look tells us which camp you are in.
What drives the price of an asbestos removal job?
Mainly what the material is, how much there is, how awkward it is to get at and how big an enclosure the room needs. Lagging on open basement pipes is a far simpler day than glue buried under three generations of flooring. Lab work, any filings and disposal round it out, and everything is spelled out on paper before we start.
How would I know whether my house has asbestos in it?
Only samples and a lab report can say. In a house built or redone before the 1980s, pipe covering, flooring, textured ceilings, wall compound and siding all deserve a test before anyone cuts into them. Until you know, treat a suspect material as positive and leave it be.
How does testing work, and when do lab results come back?
An inspector holding the proper certificate wets each suspect material, cuts a thumbnail-sized piece and seals it, and the batch heads to an accredited laboratory for analysis. How fast the report returns varies with the lab and how many pieces are in the batch, and we give you a realistic expectation the day we sample. Each cut spot gets patched before we leave.
Does a crew really roll after dark or over a weekend?
Yes. The phone is answered 24/7, and when material has already been knocked loose we dispatch a crew at whatever hour it is. While they travel, we stay on the line and help you close the area off.
Whose signature does an ACP-5 need for a city property?
Only an investigator certified by the city's DEP, after surveying the space where the work will happen. Harrison sits outside the city and has no use for the form, yet owners and builders from here with property in the five boroughs need one with most building permit applications. We prepare and file it for those jobs.
Why Run Asbestos Work This Way?
Asbestos Removal Harrison grew out of one stubborn idea: whoever samples your floor tile should work alongside whoever fills out the paperwork and whoever tapes up the room. Fewer handoffs, fewer surprises, and you always know exactly which person to ask.

Staring at a Material You Are Not Sure About?
Give us a picture of it in words: what it looks like, which room, what project is coming. In one conversation we will say whether it deserves a sample, what stripping it out would mean and which forms, if any, the job requires.
